Seymour Simon, 100, died April 10, 2019.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on Jan. 18, 1919, Mr. Simon earned his BA at the City College of New York in 1939, law degree at St. John’s University in 1948, and Masters of Law at New York University in 1955. He put himself through law school by serving as a police officer. He practiced maritime law as a partner in his own firm and became an international authority, including being cited by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Simon retired to Tucson with his wife, Audrey, in 1986.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Audrey; sons Neil (Diane) Simon of Tucson; and Rob (Marisol) Simon of Denver; and four grandchildren.
Private family services were held, with Cantor Patti Linsky officiating.
