Taste of Judaism returns to Temple Emanu-El for 19th year

Editor’s note: The dates for the classes at Miller-Golf Links Library have been changed to Aug. 2, 9, and 16.

Temple Emanu-El is heading into its 19th year of holding free Taste of Judaism classes.

Taste of Judaism is a  three-class introduction to the basics of Jewish spirituality, values, and community taught in an open, discussion style. This “taste” of the best Judaism has to offer includes samples of tasty traditional foods. Rabbi Baatsheva Appel will teach three Taste of Judaism sessions this year: Wednesdays, Aug. 1, 8 and 15 at 6 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El; Sundays, Aug. 12, 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. at the Tucson Jewish Community Center, with a separate program for children/childcare; and Thursdays, Aug. 2, 9, and 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Miller-Golf Links Library, 9640 E. Golf Links Road.

Pre-registration is required. This program is provided by the Ruth F. and Samuel H. Cohen Outreach Program of Temple Emanu-El. To register, contact Abby Limmer at  327-4501 or alimmer@tetucson.org.
