Ethan Samuel Silvyn, son of Keri and Jeff Silvyn, will celebrate becoming a bar mitzvah on Saturday, March 3 at Congregation Or Chadash.
He is the grandson of Benita Silvyn and Charles Whitehill of Tucson, and Marlys and Larry Lazarus of Phoenix.
Ethan attends Esperero Canyon Middle School. He enjoys playing basketball and video games.
For his mitzvah project, Ethan is raising funds and awareness for Tu Nidito. He rode 40 miles in the El Tour de Tucson this fall for Tu Nidito’s Ride for a Child and raised over $700 on his own for the organization.
