The Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona Women’s Philanthropy will hold two events early next month.
First up is a new event, “Taste with a Twist,” on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in the new multi-purpose room at the Tucson Jewish Community Center. Participants will sample mini martinis and make Havdalah kits, including spices and twisted candles, to be donated to Jewish Family & Children’s Services.
“It’ll be a fun but meaningful event that will showcase what Women’s Philanthropy is all about. We’re expecting a multi-generational crowd,” says Danielle Larcom, Women’s Philanthropy director.
Hors d’oeuvres will be served. The cost is $18 per person. Register by Feb. 5 at jfsa.org or contact Jane Scott at 577-9393, ext. 114 or jscott@jfsa.org.
On Friday, Feb. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Jewish Tucson Mini-Mission provides an opportunity to tour the local Jewish agencies funded by the Federation Community Campaign, including the Tucson J, JFSA, Tucson Hebrew Academy, University of Arizona Hillel Foundation, JFCS, Handmaker and the Jewish History Museum.
“The Mini-Mission lets donors see first-hand their dollars at work,” says Larcom.
Participants will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the boardroom of the J. $18 includes lunch at the Oy Vey Café at Hillel. Register by Feb. 4 at jfsa.org or contact Jane Scott at 577-9393, ext. 114 or jscott@jfsa.org.
