Rabbi/author to discuss Jewish genetic links

kleiman book dna geneticRabbi Yaakov Kleiman will present “The DNA Connection — Modern Jews and the Ancient Hebrews” on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at noon at the Tucson Jewish Community Center.

Kleiman is the director of the Center for Kohanim in Jerusalem and the author of “DNA & Tradition: The Genetic Link to the Ancient Hebrews” and “DNA & the Bible: The Genetic Link.” He has collaborated with Michael Hammer, Ph.D., professor of genetics at the University of Arizona, on research on the “Cohen gene,” tracing the Jewish priestly lineage from Moses’ brother, Aaron, to modern times.
