The Arizona Center for the Book has selected “My Tata’s Remedies/Los remedios de mi tata” by RONI CAPIN RIVERA-ASHFORD as the Arizona Great Read for 2016. Each year, a list of books representing the literary heritage of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands is distributed by the Library of Congress’ Center for the Book during the National Book Festival. “My Tata’s Remedies” has received numerous awards and accolades, including being selected as a finalist in the International Latino Book Awards in two categories and being cited as a Notable Children’s Book of 2016 by the Association for Library Service to Children.
