Abraham Nathan Kaufman, 75, died March 2, 2016.
Born in the Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Kaufman was raised in Fallsburg, N.Y. During his teenage years, he worked in the kitchen of the Concord Hotel in the Catskills. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman. In New York and Tucson, he owned several restaurants. He moved to Tucson in 1970 and married Vicki Blum in 1989. Mr. Kaufman was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Kaufman.
Survivors include his children, David Kaufman and Michael Kaufman; sister, Pearl Beyer; and stepson, Dr. Bruce (Erica) Friedman of Montclair, N.J.
Services were held at Evergreen Mortuary with Rabbi Robert Eisen of Congregation Anshei Israel officiating. Interment followed in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery.
