CLARE LINDNER, M.D., has joined the University of Arizona department of pediatrics and Banner Children’s — Diamond Children’s Medical Center as a pediatric nephrologist. Lindner received her medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. She completed her residency in pediatrics from Cohen Children’s Medical Center of the Long Island Jewish Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Her clinical and research interests are in transition of care for adolescent patients and transplant outcomes.
Tucson artist LAURI KAYE will launch a nonprofit organization, Create for the People, with an artist’s reception on Oct. 3 at Unplugged Wine Bar, 118 E. Congress St. The event will showcase 16 pieces from her series “A Portrait Story,” with all proceeds benefiting local charities including Youth On Their Own, Casa de los Ninos, Primavera Foundation, Humane Society of Southern Arizona and AZ Cancer Kids.
