Jews in Singapore topic for Hadassah lunch

Anne Lowe, who recently spent five weeks in Singapore, will give a slide presentation on “The Jews of Singapore: Past and Present” at a Hadassah Southern Arizona lunch on Sunday, Oct. 18, 11:30 a.m. at Lodge on the Desert, 306 N. Alvernon Way.

In Singapore, Lowe attended services at four Jewish congregations and taught two classes at the Jewish day school, the Sir Manasseh Meyer International School.

The cost is $25 for members, $27 for nonmembers. To support the St. Andrew’s Children’s Clinic, a nonprofit, nondenominational clinic that provides free, specialized medical care to needy children from Mexico, bring new or gently used clothing, blankets or toys or non-perishable food items.
