Harold Leinwand, 95, died March 14, 2015.
Mr. Leinwand grew up in New York City where he graduated from The City College of New York. A short time later he joined the U.S. Army and served during World War II. Upon leaving the Army, Mr. Leinwand rejoined the accounting firm he left prior to the war and became a CPA. In 1959, he joined Jaymar Ruby in Michigan City, Ind., where he was the CFO. He retired from Jaymar in 1987. While living in Indiana, Mr. Leinwand was active in various charitable organizations and in the Sinai Temple. He moved to the Tucson area in 1989 to be near his grandchildren.
Mr. Leinwand was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Vicki. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Harriet Wassner Leinwand.; children, Shelley (Ed) Bernheim of Nevada, Jeffrey (Linda) Leinwand; stepdaughter, Lisa (Andre) Baget of Tucson; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in the Temple Emanu-El section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Stephanie Aaron of Congregation Chaverim officiating.
