Ariella Youdelman, daughter of Donna and Frank Youdelman of Tucson, and Moshe Shor, son of Gittie and Kalman Shor of Las Vegas, were married Sept. 7, 2014 at Reflections at the Buttes in Oro Valley with Cantor Avraham Alpert of Congregation Bet Shalom and Rabbi Billy Lewkowicz officiating. Ariella has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Nevada State College and does applied behavior analysis therapy with children on the autism spectrum. Moshe has a degree in business management from the College of Southern Nevada and a degree in airport management and air traffic control from Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology. The couple spent a week in St. Maarten for their honeymoon.

How they met:

I worked for Moshe’s sister. I ended up spending a lot of time with the family and became close with them. I mentioned to another one of his sisters that I thought he was cute. Then he asked for my number … the rest is history.

The proposal:

I walked into my room and there was a path of rose petals leading to Moshe. On my nightstand next to him was an Eiffel tower (I love Paris) with a ring on the top of it. There were also champagne glasses that said “Will you marry me?” Then he took the ring, slipped it on my finger, asked if I would marry him, and I said yes!

Wedding planning challenge:

It was very hard to find a venue that would let us either kasher their kitchen or bring in our own kosher caterer.

Special memories of the day:

Hers: The entire day/night was so special and amazing to me.

His: I stepped on the glass under the chuppah … but it didn’t break, it just slipped out of the cloth and rolled away.

Wedding planner: Ariella’s mother did it all!

Florist: Petra from Focus on Flowers

Caterer: L’Chaim Kosher Catering

Wedding cake: Nadines Bakery
