Carol Kestler, 74, died July 17, 2015.
A longtime resident of Tucson, Mrs. Kestler was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the founder and executive director of Arts Genesis, an organization that made art instruction available in less privileged schools. She was a widely known as a Judaic teacher and artist and was a talented jeweler.
Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Kestler; sons, Edward (Evelyn) Kestler of Tucson and Aharon (Greta) Brun-Kestler of West Hempstead, N.Y.; brother; David (Judith Katz) Levine of Washington, D.C.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in the Congregation Anshei Israel Section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Thomas Louchheim of Congregation Or Chadash officiating.
