Sharon B. Megdal, Ph.D., director of the University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center, will speak at the Hadassah Southern Arizona luncheon on Sunday, Dec. 7 at noon at Skyline Country Club, 5200 E. St. Andrews Drive.
Her presentation, “Water Management Innovations in Water-Scarce Regions,” will address Arizona and Israel’s water policies. Megdal, who holds a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University, also serves on the Central Arizona Project board of directors. A frequent speaker at local, national and international conferences, she was among the panel of experts who gave a special briefing at the United Nations in June 2014 on Israeli water management and technology. She is scheduled to speak this fall at two conferences in Israel.
