Thomas Hunter Ramirez, son of Michael Ramirez and Arianne Ramirez, will celebrate becoming a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, April 26 at Temple Emanu-El.
He is the grandson of Robert and Judith Schoenburg of Tustin, Calif., and Abel and Lee Ramirez of Tucson.
Tommy attends Basis Tucson North, where he was named seventh grade history student of the year. He plays soccer and flag football on the school teams and is a member of the Science Bowl team. He plays basketball in the Tucson Jewish Community Center youth league.
For his mitzvah project, he collected and donated 500 comic books to Reading Seed.
