Reid Harris Margolis Kotwica, 36, died March 3, 2014 in West Hollywood, Calif.
A Tucson native, Mr. Kotwica attended the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Hermosillo, Mexico for a year before transferring to the University of Arizona where he obtained a degree in Spanish, communications and linguistics in 2004. He was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and co-founded www.GreekYear book.com, which spread to several colleges throughout the United States. After college he moved to San Diego, where he worked in various fields before becoming a flight attendant for Delta Airlines in 2008, based in New York and then Atlanta. In 2014, he moved to West Hollywood to pursue his dream of owning a high-tech company with long-time friends Jeff Raben and Zam Loomstein.
Survivors include his parents, Roland and Ronni Kotwica of Tucson; uncle and aunt, Harold (Susan) Margolis; and his partner, Will Senn.
Graveside services were held in the Congregation Chaverim section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Stephanie Aaron officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tucson Chapter of the American Diabetes Foundation.
