AMY HIRSHBERG LEDERMAN’s award-winning book, “To Life! Jewish Reflections on Everyday Living,” is now in its second printing. Lederman has written more than 300 columns and essays that have been published nationwide, debuting in the Arizona Jewish Post. Her second book, “One Life, Many Paths: Finding Meaning and Inspiration in Jewish Teachings,” won a 2009 award from the Arizona Book Publishing Association for best book on religion and spirituality. HELAINE LEVY, executive director of the Diamond Family Philanthropies, will receive a 2014 Georgy Award from Arizona Theatre Company in recognition of the foundation’s support of ATC, her personal support of Tucson’s nonprofit community and her role in establishing the Non-Profit Loan Fund. The award will be presented at ATC’s Gala 2014 on Sept. 27 at the Temple of Music and Art. Levy was formerly president and part-owner of Old Tucson Studios. She serves on the boards of Tucson Values Teachers, University of Arizona Foundation and Social Venture Partners Greater Tucson, which she co-founded; chairs the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona Advisory Council and is a member of Southern Arizona Grantmakers and Women Investors of Tucson, which she also co-founded. Past board involvement includes the Tucson Jewish Community Center, Arizona Motion Picture and Television Advisory Board and Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona.
