RABBI BILLY LEWKOWICZ recently completed the Tucson Marathon. Known in his native South Africa as the “Running Rabbi,” he ran marathons, “ultra marathons” including the famous “Comrades Marathon” of 56 miles and a charity run of 100 miles. Since immigrating to Tucson in1994, he had not run a marathon. He entered the Dec. 8 Tucson Marathon with only a month to train. During the marathon he decided he will use marathons as a healthful way to raise money for various charitable organizations. He is now preparing for the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon in Phoenix this Sunday, Jan. 19.URI FLEMING was recently promoted to partner in the Los Angeles law firm Kleinberg Lange Cuddy & Carlo, where he is in the film and television practice group. In December, Variety magazine cited him as “up next” in their annual “Dealmakers” report. Fleming is a graduate of University High School, the University of Arizona and the University of Southern California Law School. He is the son of Rabbi Miri Fleming and Charles Fleming, both of Tucson.
