Inge Schneider, 89, died Nov. 20, 2014.
Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, Mrs. Schneider survived the Holocaust and began a new life in New York City. She was a designer assistant and sample maker in the garment industry. In 1976 she and her husband moved the family to Tucson. She managed a small garment factory in South Tucson and then worked in many bridal shops in Tucson. She volunteered at Sabino Canyon.
Mrs. Schneider was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; son, Harvey; and sisters, Ilsa Weishaupt and Miriam Michaelis. Survivors include her children, Ken (Judy Regensteiner) Schneider of Lakewood, Colo., Ron (Julie Tronson) Schneider of Tucson; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in the B’nai B’rith section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon of Temple Emanu-El officiating.
