Yonatan Eliezer Weiner, son of Naomi and Tamir Weiner, will celebrate becoming a Bar Mitzvah on Sept. 28, 2013 with Congregation Bet Shalom at the Tucson Jewish Community Center.
He is the grandson of Liliane and the late Alexander Blumenberg of Tucson; Betty and the late Ira Weiner of Beverly Hills, Calif.; Walter and Shirley Greenes of Laguna Woods, Calif.; and Phyllis and Dow Tunis of Indio, Calif.
Yoni attends St. Gregory College Preparatory School, where he works on the yearbook. He enjoys technology and gaming and volunteers at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
For his mitzvah project he is collecting food for the Community Food Bank and the Humane Society.
