Rothschild to open Alzheimer’s conference

Mayor Jonathan Rothschild will give the opening remarks at an all-day seminar sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter at the Tucson Jewish Community Center on Wednesday, March 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Sessions at the 19th Annual Mayor’s Alzheimer’s Conference will include “Caregiving: Elder Law and Estate Planning — What Do You Need to Do?” with Kay Richter, a local elder law attorney; “Sharing Our Stories: Caregiving Tips from the Trenches,” with various health-care professionals; a safety panel on driving, home safety and fall prevention; and current research updates with Dr. Marwan Sabbagh, geriatric neurologist, director of the Banner Sun Health Research Institute and co-author with Beau MacMillan of “The Alzheimer’s Prevention Cookbook: 100 Recipes to Boost Brain Health.”
