Margaret Morf

obit - margaret morfMargaret Ellen Morf, 79, died Aug. 26, 2013.

Born in Safford, Mrs. Morf graduated from Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Phoenix when she was 20. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Morf, and they moved to Juneau, Alaska, where he was an airline pilot and co-founder of Alaska Airlines.

Mrs. Morf was a former member and president of Epsilon Sigma Alpha. She worked for the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Morf was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Morf, exactly 47 years to the day before her death, and by her son, Mark Morf. Survivors include her daughter, Terry (Philip) Grant of

Tucson; daughter-in-law, Mary Morf Ordosgoitia of Phoenix; brother Gene (Kay) Evans of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private services were held. Mrs. Morf will be interred at Horn Spire, Eagle River Glacier, Alaska, at the approximate coordinates of her deceased husband’s plane crash.
