Lois Safran

Lois Sarah Safran, 80, died April 28, 2013.
Born in New York City, she moved to Laurelton on Long Island and attended Far Rockaway High School, where she met her husband, Richard Safran. For 18 years, she worked at Family and Children’s Service agency in Ft. Wayne, Ind. She and her husband moved to Tucson in 2001.
Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years, Rabbi Richard Safran; son, Jonathan (Dawn) Safran of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Daniel (Cindy) Safran of Long Grove, Ill.; and three granddaughters.
Interment was in Ft. Wayne, Ind. A memorial service was held at Temple Emanu-El.
