The Young Women’s Cabinet will kick off a healthy new year with its winter event on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tucson Jewish Community Center.
The evening will include a cardio-kickboxing class and a discussion of heart health with Claudine Messing, vice president of the Steven M. Gootter Foundation, which works to save lives from sudden cardiac death by supporting increased awareness, education and scientific research. Gootter, who died in 2005, was Messing’s brother.
The cost of the event is $18. To register, contact Karen Graham at kgraham@jfsa.org or 577-9393, or visit www.jewish tucson.org/ywc.
