JWI Mother’s Day Flower Project to aid local women’s shelter

Women and children living at Tucson’s Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse will receive flowers and a basket of beauty products on Mother’s Day through Jewish Women International’s 15th annual Mother’s Day Flower Project.

Two other shelters in Arizona, Chrysalis Shelter in Phoenix and Chrysalis Shelter in Scottsdale, also will be recipients of the program.

Each $25 contribution to the project allows JWI to send a Mother’s Day card by mail or e-mail to a woman of the sender’s choosing and to send bouquets and beauty products to domestic violence shelters. Senders and honorees also may write messages of hope to women and children living in shelters, which will be printed on a poster and delivered to each partner shelter shortly after Mother’s Day. Flower Project cards can be ordered at jwi.org/fp or by phone at (800) 343-2823. The deadline is May 3.
