Ari Benjamin Parker, son of Pamela Workman-Parker and Chuck Parker and David Detloff, will celebrate becoming a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Temple Emanu-El.
He is the grandson of Vivian Workman of Denver, Colo., and the late Martin Workman, and Alexandra and Charles Parker of Henderson, Nev.
Ari attends Tortolita Middle School, where he is an honor student in the gifted education program. He plays baseball and basketball at school and enjoys football.
For his mitzvah project, he raffled off Diamondbacks tickets and an Arizona Cardinals football to earn money for the Boys and Girls Club of Tucson, the Community Food Bank and Mazon.
