Temple plans camp fair, family camp night

Temple Emanu-El will host a Jewish Camp Fair on Sunday, Jan. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Representatives from at least 16 Jewish overnight camps from across the country will be available to meet with children and parents. Overnight camps from as close as Prescott, Ariz., and California, and as far away as Michigan and Wisconsin, will be participating. Information on scholarships from Temple Emanu-El, the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and the JWEST Campership Program will be available. Pizza will be sold for $2 per slice.

On Saturday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m., Temple Emanu-El will hold a camp night for families at Reid Park, ramada #20. Camp directors will lead interactive activities including games, crafts, kumsitz (song circle) and making s’mores. The evening will include a dairy potluck dinner and a Havdallah ceremony led by the Temple Emanu-El Kurn Religious School 5th grade class.
