A composition by MIKE LEVY, “Sonata for Four Native Flutes,” will be performed at a Vatican ceremony in October when the pope canonizes a Native American woman who lived in the 17th century, known as the blessed Kateri. Native flutist Vince Redhouse commissioned Levy to write the piece and will perform it with three of his students. To listen to the sonata, go to reverbnation.com/mikelevy.

 

 

TERI JANE KAROBONIK graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in California. A graduate of Catalina Foothills High School, Karabonik received her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Arizona, where she was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. During law school she was lead production editor on the Computer and High Technology Law Journal and served as co-president for Santa Clara’s ACLU chapter. She received several academic achievement awards and a pro-bono recognition award for her work last summer at Electronic Frontier Foundation. She also worked at a small firm doing e-discovery and served as an intern for the Federal Legal Assistance Self-Help Center at the San José courthouse.
