Mildred Gerowitz

Mildred (Millie) Koval Gerowitz, 84, died Dec. 24, 2011.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., Mrs. Gerowitz became a fulltime resident of Tucson in 1987. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and belonged to Congregation Anshei Israel Sisterhood, where she volunteered in the gift shop and preschool. She volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital during the holiday season with her husband.
Mrs. Gerowitz was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Eli. Survivors include her children, Lynn (Herman) Freeman of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sharon (Allan) Baskin and Bruce (Elana) Gerowitz, both of Tucson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at East Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Yossie Shemtov of Congregation Young Israel officiating.
