Jonathan David Owens, 49, died suddenly on May 14, 2012.
Mr. Owens was a jeweler at Maguire’s Jewelry and an active member of Congregation Anshei Israel. A loving husband and family man, he took an active role in his children’s sports and musical accomplishments. He was a friend to all, adults and children alike.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his brother Matt Owens. Survivors include his wife, Joy B. Peskin-Owens, M.D.; mother, Anne Owens of Glendale, Ariz.; children, Eli Peskin-Owens, Ariella Peskin-Owens and Hannah Peskin-Owens, all of Tucson; sister, Elisabeth Noziglia of Scottsdale; brothers, Chris Doolan of Boston, Mass. and Peter (Michele) Doolan of Phoenix; stepfather, Andrew G. Owens of Peoria, Ariz.; sisters-in-law Alisa Peskin-Shepherd and Bonnie Halprin; brothers-in-law David Halprin and Steven Shepherd; mother- and father-in-law, Marilyn and Paul Kaufman of Tucson; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Evergreen Mortuary with Rabbi Robert Eisen officiating. Interment followed in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial fund for Mr. Owens’ children will be arranged at a later date.
