The Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona’s nominating committee, chaired by Jennifer Miller Grant, has recommended the following slate of officers for the 2012-2013 program year: Kathryn L. Unger, chair of the board; Deanna Evenchik, vice chair; Madeline Friedman, vice chair; Larry Gellman, vice chair; Joyce Stuehringer, vice chair; Jim Wezelman, treasurer; Julie Feldman, secretary; and Jeff S.Katz, immediate past chair.
Nominated to new three-year terms on the board are Marcia Abelson, Myles Beck, Phil Bregman, Steve Caine, Rosie Eilat-Kahn, Fern Feder, Leslie Glaze, Angie Goorman, Liz Groskind, Nina Isaac, John Judin, Larry Leiken, Jerry Nathanson, Rachel Rivera and Beverly Sandock. Nominated for two-year terms are Terry Perl and David Plotkin. Nominated to one-year terms are Melissa Goldfinger and Shelly Pozez.
New life members of the board are Donna Beyer, Jeff S. Katz and Ron Weintraub.
Any 10 members may make additional nominations by delivering a signed written nomination to the Federation office with an acceptance signed by the nominee at least 14 days before the annual meeting (which will be held May 10 at the Tucson Jewish Community Center). Additional nominees shall be presented together with the nominees selected by the nominating committee at the annual meeting of the members.
