Congregation Anshei Israel, Congregation Or Chadash and Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging will present Rick Recht live in concert on Monday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Congregation Anshei Israel.
“The concert is a collaboration between three Jewish organizations, promoting the idea that music not only transcends boundaries, but also unites the community, regardless of age,” says Lori Riegel, Handmaker religious and cultural education coordinator.
Recht is the top-touring artist in Jewish music today, performing more than 125 concerts each year from coast to coast. He will feature songs from his newly released album, “This Is Me,” as well as selections from his other Jewish rock albums.
“One of the things I love about Jewish music is that you can bring together little kids, teens, their parents and their grandparents in the same setting and create a type of musical magic that excites everyone all at once,” says Recht. “I look at these community gatherings as an incredible opportunity to get inside each and every person and help them to get loose, open up and connect with each other in a really positive, Jewish way.”
Tickets purchased by Nov. 8 are $15 for adults (age 13 and older) and $10 for children and seniors. A family package is $45. Tickets purchased at the door are $18 for adults, $12 for seniors and children. VIP tickets, which include premium seating and a post-show dessert reception, are $36 in advance or at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at Congregations Anshei Israel and Or Chadash or at Handmaker.
The concert is supported by gold sponsor PJ Library, a project of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona. For more information including additional sponsorship opportunities, contact Riegel at 322-7006 or lriegel@handmaker.org.
