The Invisible Theatre is celebrating its 40th anniversary season on April 9 and 10 with “Painting the Town Red,” a “retro-spectacular cabaret”conceived, written and directed by Susan Claassen, the theatre’s managing artistic director.
Hosted by Claassen and Molly McKasson, the show will include appearances by returning guest artists including Golden Globe winner Amanda McBroom, Tony Award winner Ken Page, Tony nominee Ann Hampton Callaway (April 10 only) and Obie Award winner Kathleen Chalfant. They will join musical director Lisa Otey and a cast of Tucson favorites such as Nancy Davis Booth, Jeffrey Haskell, Larry “Lucinda Holiday” Moore, Jack Neubeck, Stuart “Carol Channing” Moulton, Robert Shaw aka “Elvis” and The Pastime Players.
Shows will be at the Berger Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Speedway Blvd. Tickets are $42; discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Call 882-9721.
