ANGIE GOORMAN has been selected by the Jewish Federations of North America National Young Leadership Cabinet as a new member beginning with the 2011/2012 year. The cabinet is a group of men and women, ages 30-45, who are committed to shaping a bright future for the Jewish people in North America, Israel and around the world. Goorman will represent Southern Arizona for the next six years.
REP. GABRIELLE GIFFORDS was recognized as the Honorary Military Spouse of the Year by Military Spouse magazine. Giffords is married to Navy Capt. Mark Kelly, a NASA astronaut and commander of the final flight of space shuttle Endeavour. Giffords, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, spoke at last year’s Military Spouse of the Year event. Subsequent awards will be referred to as the Gabrielle Giffords Award for Courage and Bravery.
