Mildred Margolis, 89, died June 11, 2011.
Mrs. Margolis was born in Lynn, Mass. In 1940, she married Herbert Margolis, moved to California and then to Tucson. Together they started Arizona Meat Packers, which remained a family business until their retirement in 1972, when they moved to Palm Springs, Calif. In 1980, after Herbert’s death, Mrs. Margolis moved back to Tucson.
Mrs. Margolis was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Margolis; sister, Rose; and brother, Bill. Survivors include her children, Michael A. (Lida) Margolis of Tucson, and Judy L. Margolis of Santa Fe, N.M..
Graveside services were held in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Stephanie Aaron of Congregation Chaverim officiating.
