MAX JACOB BYRD, son of Susan Byrd, will celebrate becoming a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, May 7 at Congregation Or Chadash.
He is the grandson of Linda and the late Alan Dym of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Emily Prim of Tucson.
Max attends Tucson Hebrew Academy where he is on the basketball team. He is a member of the Tucson Jewish Youth Choir and enjoys drama, swimming and Hebrew. For his mitzvah project, he is collecting toys for animals at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and was an organizer of the pet blessing ceremony held at Congregation Or Chadash on April 20.
