The Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for the Goldman Family Israel Scholarship Grant, which provides up to $2,500 for one trip to Israel. Previously, the Jewish Federation’s Coalition for Jewish Education and Tucson Hebrew Academy were awarded this grant and each used it to defray the costs of an Israel trip for one student.
Any nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status that is sponsoring an individual or group trip to Israel may apply. The recipient organization will be responsible for selecting a participant to receive the scholarship. There are no requirements regarding age, ethnicity, geography or any other specific demographic.
The application deadline is Jan. 13 by 4 p.m. Funding will be available in February, for a trip to take place during that year. This scholarship is made possible by the Elliot S. Goldman and Goldman Family Israel Scholarship Funds. For an application, contact Lia Pierse, director of donor services, at lia@jcftucson.org.
