The Men’s Club of Beth Shalom Temple Center has launched a free “Offbeat Film Retrospective,” with screenings on the first and third Thursday of each month at 1 p.m.
Many of the films reflect the Jewish experience in the diaspora, directly or indirectly, says men’s club president Merle Sobol.
Titles range from “The Life of Emil Zola” on Sept. 1 to “Harold and Maud” on Nov. 3 and “A Price Above Rubies” on Jan. 19. Films have been scheduled through June 2012. Popcorn will be served and discussion will follow the films. For more information, call 648-6690.
