Gideon Feldman

Gideon Feldman, 77, died June 6, 2011.
Born in Palestine, Mr. Feldman graduated from Lincoln High in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army and was a fireman during the Korean War. After the war, Mr. Feldman and his brother, Oded,  moved to Tucson and opened Arrow Liquors Tucson Home Beverage Delivery, which included the preparation of fresh New York-style seltzer. In 1977, he wed his childhood sweetheart and helped raise her three children. After closing the business, he worked at Canteen Corporation for almost 20 years. He was active in his neighborhood association.
Mr. Feldman was preceded in death by his brother, Oded Feldman. Survivors include his wife, Florence; children, Ruth (Michael) Van Vleet of Tucson, Sharon (Mark) St. Peter of  San Francisco, Calif., Deena (Robert) Stewart-Hitzke of Tucson, Sheree Garcia of Tucson,  Alan (Kim) Kaye of New Orleans,  and Adam (Beth) Kaye of Stockton, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
Services were held at Evergreen Mortuary with Rabbi Robert Eisen officiating. Interment followed in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery.
