Congregation Anshei Israel’s Esther B. Feldman Preschool/Kindergarten will open its summer camp June 6 to children ages 2 to 6. This year, an additional 4-week morning camp for children with special needs ages 3 to 5 will be offered.
Staffed by Debby Eisen, a certified special education teacher with 15 years experience, and Wendy Hartje, a para-professional, the special needs camp is limited to 10 children. With a focus on learning through play, campers will also work on pre-academic and social skills.
“We are pleased to be able to add this important component to our camp program,” says Lynne Falkow-Strauss, director of the school. “I am confident that the personal attention and warmth provided by our staff will enhance the children’s summer experience.”
Both camps include games, water play, arts & crafts, music, dance and more. The school’s secure facility has fully-equipped classrooms and a shaded playground. Mid-morning snacks are provided.
