Anita Greenberg

Anita Greenberg, 84, died May 29, 2011.
Born in New York, Mrs. Greenberg graduated from Hofstra University in 1948 with a bachelor’s degree in English and later worked toward a master’s degree in education. She worked as an English teacher on Long Island. She moved to Tucson with her husband, Bill, in 1996. She was a member of B’nai B’rith, ORT and Hadassah. She volunteered at Nanini Library, reading to children.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Bill; children, Leslie (Andy Brodky) Greenberg of Tucson, and Denise (Bruce) Tredwell of Brewster, N.Y.; brother, Si Osgrove of Sun City, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Congregation Or Chadash with Rabbi Thomas Louchheim and Cantor Janece Cohen officiating. Interment  will be on Long Island, N.Y.
