Rachel Sharupsky Kane (Kanowicz), 99, of Los Angeles, Calif., died June 17, 2010.
Mrs. Kane was a partisan fighter in Belarussian forests in World War II. She was a Hebrew and Judaica teacher in Los Angeles. She lived in Tucson during the 1980s before returning to Los Angeles, where she lived for the past 20 years.
Mrs. Kane was preceded in death by her husbands, Zeidel Srebrolow and Chaim Yirachmiel Kanowicz and daughter, Aliza (Freidele). Survivors include her daughters, Sarah (Leonard) Schultz of Tucson and Esther (Floyd) Meyers of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was held in Har Hamuchot in Jerusalem, Israel.
