Jordan Fassler, 85, died Nov. 17, 2010.
After serving in the U.S. Army under General Patton, he completed his education at the University of Arizona in 1951 with a master’s degree in education. He moved to New York City and returned to Tucson in 1955. He worked at Doolen Middle School as a teacher and assistant principal for a career spanning 50 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Phyllis; children, Eric (Darla Klokeid) Fassler of Washington and Elise (Neil) Konigsberg of Tucson; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at Evergreen Mortuary with Rabbi Robert Eisen and Cantor Ivor Lichterman officiating. Interment followed in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery.
