Harvard professor to lead Holocaust teachers event

An inservice workshop, “Teaching the Holocaust through Diaries, Personal Correspondence and Memoir,” with Harvard professor Susan R. Suleiman, will be held on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the University of Arizona Poetry Center, 1508 E. Helen St. Suleiman is C. Douglas Dillon professor of the civilization of France and professor of comparative literature at Harvard.

The workshop is cosponsored by the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona, Jewish Community Relations Council, and Coalition for Jewish Education; the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, UA Poetry Center and College of Education; and the Tucson Unified, Marana, Vail, Amphitheater and Flowing Wells School Districts.

The workshop is $15 for teachers; $10 for teachers-in-training. Continuing education credits are available.
