Gabrielle Schneider, 87, died Oct. 31, 2010.
Mrs. Schneider was a Holocaust survivor and was active in Holocaust education at public schools. She was a published author, avid tennis player, swimmer and taught piano for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Schneider. Survivors include her children, Richard (Nancy) Weiss of Tucson and Mark (Marilyn) Weiss of Phoenix; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in the Congregation Ansehi Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Robert Eisen and Cantor Ivor Lichterman officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Anshei Israel or the American Heart Association.
