The Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona will take baseball fans out to the ballgame for the inaugural Jewish Heritage Day at Chase Field in Phoenix on Sunday, Aug. 22.
The Colorado Rockies will play the Arizona Diamondbacks at 1:10 p.m. and fans will celebrate Arizona’s Jewish heritage with special displays, games and kosher food.
Transportation is available on the D-backs Express, which will leave from the Foothills Mall at 10:30 a.m.
Tickets with transportation are $41 for adults, $38 for ages 12 and under. Game-only tickets are $23 (seats are on the lower level baseline and are normally $25). A percentage of all ticket sales will be donated to the JFSA annual campaign. Tickets must be ordered by Aug. 9.
The first 5,000 children in attendance will receive a D-backs back-to-school kit, and kids will be invited to run the bases after the game. A Q&A session with a Diamondbacks executive will be held after the game (not available to D-backs Express riders).
Kosher food will be provided by Segal’s Catering, which is under the supervision of the Va’ad HaKashruth of Arizona.
