ALYSSA MESHEL MONTGOMERY, daughter of Jodie and Brian Montgomery, will celebrate becoming a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, June 5with Congregation Chaverim at La Paloma Country Club.
She is the granddaughter of MaraLynn and Herbert Meshel and Patricia and Harvey Montgomery, all of Tucson.
Alyssa attends Orange Grove Middle School where she is an honor student. She plays softball and tennis and enjoys bicycling, swimming, art, music and reading. For her mitzvah project, she is volunteering with the Jewish Community Relations Council’s Making a Difference Everyday: the Homer Davis Project, through the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona. The project helps feed hungry children on weekends, when they don’t have access to government-funded school food programs.
