Aimond “Pep” Pepper

Aimond “Pep” Pepper, 83, of Oro Valley, Ariz., died Dec. 1, 2010.

Born in Providence, R.I., a first generation American, he grew up in City Island, N.Y. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School. Mr. Pepper managed a bar and grill in New York City. He was the owner of Aimond Associates, a construction business, which he started in 1968 and worked at until 1995 when he moved to Arizona. He was involved in synagogue, Hadassah and Young Judaea and was a Mason for 46 years.

Mr. Pepper was preceded in death by his son Nevin Leigh Pepper. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Henrietta; children, Alison Hope Pepper of Washington, D.C., Joy (Kenneth Peterson) Stanli Pepper of Buffalo N.Y., and S. Jordan (Julee) Pepper of Penngrove, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services were held in Oro Valley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tapestry Charter School, 65 Great Arrow Ave, Buffalo,N,Y., 14216 where The Pepper Grove, white birch trees, will be planted in his memory.
