Bridging AZ (Arizona’s only Furniture Bank) is putting on its annual Bedrace to support the “Buy a Kid a Bed Campaign.” Bridging AZ supplies furniture and household items for over 100 social service agencies who identify and qualify economically disadvantaged families who are transitioning out of hardships such as homelessness or domestic violence..
Bedrace – The race involves rolling beds down a 100-yard street by the stage area of Tempe Marketplace. Individuals, groups, businesses, organizations, and clubs sponsoring and racing on beds. Teams consist of four race-bed pushers and one in-bed rider all racing against the clock. Prizes are awarded for creativity, most money raised, and fastest time.
