Tucson J-Rays swim school will teach toddlers to teens

The Tucson Jewish Community Center has launched a year-round J-Rays Swim School created by Brandon Rannebarger, the J’s aquatics director and head swim coach. The school will work primarily with children ages 3-14 years in private or group lessons for any skill level, with a constructive play curriculum. It also will offer a Parents & Me program to help educate parents about safety floating and water fun.

The J also has two competitive swim teams for all levels of swimmers.

The swim school’s fall session will run Sept. 6-Nov. 18, with classes offered once a week between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The winter session will run Dec. 5-February 2017. Members prices are $56 for one class per week for four weeks ($66 for nonmembers); a fast track option for the winter session (eight classes in four weeks) is $112 for members, $132 for nonmembers. A one-time enrollment fee per person is $15 for members, $25 for nonmembers.
