Jewish community website now features Nosh & More recipe exchange

Jewishtucson.org, Tucson’s Jewish community website, has launched Nosh & More, a recipe exchange.

At jewishtucson.org/nosh-more, food lovers can submit everything from treasured traditional recipes to contemporary takes on Jewish cuisine. Participants are encouraged to include a bit of history or a fond remembrance on what makes the recipe special to them.

Users can rate and comment on the recipes, which are organized around categories of food, including holiday foods. Recipes already posted reflect the diversity of what people consider Jewish food and the influences of varied regions where Jews have lived, adapting their cooking style to the ingredients available. The beverages category illustrates the blend of old and new, with a recipe for raisin wine that was handwritten by Nosh & More Co-chair Dale Mayerfeld’s grandmother more than 70 years ago, along with one for trendy chai tea.
